FERCHAU AVIATION in Toulouse has passed the enhanced auditing required to be awarded certification per DIN EN 9100: 2003. The audit was carried out by TUEV Rheinland. This means the division can now offer certified engineering services for handling complete work packages in France, too. "In the aviation industry, the emphasis isn’t just on process orientation and procurement and risk management, but also on the special requirements for the configuration and development documentation. With the aid of the European quality management system for the aerospace industry (EN 9100), the newly accredited company can now prove that it meets all quality standards demanded. At the same time, this also creates the basis for continuous improvement of our activities," comments Harald Felten, Head of AVIATION Division. In the aviation industry, it is generally accepted that suppliers who do not possess this certification will in future no longer survive in this market.
